Waste Management Program

About the Program

Uncollected solid waste poses significant risks to public health and the environment, leading to pollution and disease outbreaks. The Environmental Protection and Development Association (EPDA) addresses this pressing issue through our Waste Management Program. Our initiative focuses on establishing youth-led recycling cooperatives and organizing community clean-up campaigns to tackle the challenges of waste disposal and management effectively. By engaging young people and local communities, we aim to foster a culture of environmental responsibility and sustainable waste management practices.

Why We Are Doing It

The accumulation of waste not only affects the aesthetic value of communities but also poses serious health hazards, including the spread of diseases and contamination of water sources. By implementing effective waste management strategies, EPDA seeks to mitigate these risks while promoting recycling and sustainable practices. Our program empowers young people to take leadership roles in waste management, encouraging them to develop innovative solutions for reducing waste and promoting recycling within their communities.
